We won't be able to see it here in Miami, but this Total Solar Eclipse remains capable of granting us pause, nonetheless.
If not for mere intrigue of astronomy, perhaps for a moment of personal introspection & reflection at the enigmatic grandiosity of this occasion.

Symbolism of A Total Solar Eclipse & New Moon in Scorpio:
Eclipse:
A Total Solar Eclipse is a very powerful New Moon phase and harbinger of significant and vivid beginnings. It opens opportunities for healing any imbalances that may exist between the feminine and masculine aspects of our consciousness. An omen of Metamorphosis, such changes allow for a fresh period of rebirth and the inevitable transformation that follows. Like the Butterfly emerging from its Cocoon, such ascensions always develop in our innermost-being, before manifesting in our outermost-actions!
Moon:
A New Moon in Scorpio represents heightened emotionality and sensitivity.
It bids us to take actions that facilitate a closer connection to that which is greater than ourselves. It presents a period of time when we may be more attuned to recognize our intuitive/psychic abilities (if we stay open and alert). This applies especially in regards to uncovering deeper truths about the gifts and talents we have been given, as well as how we can use them in the fulfillment of our true life-purpose.
"A total eclipse of the Sun is visible from within a narrow corridor that traverses Earth's southern Hemisphere. The path of the Moon's umbral shadow begins in northern Australia and crosses the South Pacific Ocean with on other no landfall. The Moon's penumbral shadow produces a partial eclipse visible from a much larger region covering Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific."*
